Rehab

March 12, 2008

I would equate a new relationship with a drug addiction. When you aren’t with that person, you are thinking about them, talking about them, looking for a way to get your next hit.

I suppose, chemically speaking, that it is a drug addiction. The excitement of a new relationship causes your brain to produce endorphins and serotonin which gives you a sort of high. But eventually, that high goes away and all you are left with is a dependence problem.

Is there any way to remedy this? I don’t know. But I do know that there should be a relationships rehab program.
