Easter Eggs!
We did natural egg dying last night. I liked it more than regular egg dying with a kit because there was a new measure of creativity here. I used lavender, hibiscus, grape juice, black and green tea and coffee. They turned out great! Click the photos to make them larger.
Dylan got her Easter basket today as well. She took out each item individually and chewed it for a while to test for awesomeness. These are the sunglasses that were in it. She likes them.

Yarn Dreams
The last two nights I’ve dreamed about yarn. Sunday night I dreamed that I was trapped in this huge house forever and could never leave. But then I found a whole room full of excellent yarn and knitting supplies and I decided “This isn’t so bad after all!” And last night I dreamed about knitting large lovely scarves with this fluffy soft ivory thick and thin yarn. I’m obviously hankering for hanks. *yuk yuk*
Mobiles
I came across some unbearably cute mobiles so I thought I’d share. They are handmade by Lesley and you can find them on this Etsy site.
What a neat scarf!
Edition-Georges Chakra spring/sum 2011
So lately I’ve been watching Fashion TV. Don’t ask me why. I just like to see the pretty things I can never afford. Anyhow, I saw a line tonight that I LOVED. Take a look at these dresses.
You will definitely want to go full screen.
Dylans Grand Entrance
Sorry about the month long hiatus. I had a baby on July 13th and becoming a mother is apparently very time consuming. That being said, I will provide information and pictures now.
My labor wasn’t bad. It started and stopped from about 4 a.m. till about 3 ish, when it started again and stayed. It’s a good thing too, because I was about ready to accept some pitocin to induce steady progression, and I really didn’t want to do that as it makes your contractions longer and harder. Then, just as they were about to break my water, my water broke. All over the nurse who was standing in front of me waiting to do it. After that things got fun.
The contractions were a lot more painful than I had imagined. I suppose that’s because I didn’t have any similar experience to compare it to while imagining it. I had every intention of doing a completely natural birth, but by the time I reached 7 cm I caved and accepted an Epidural. I am glad that I did. After that, everything was very pleasant and enjoyable and I did not have the ‘drugged’ feeling that I was worried about. I only pushed for thirty minutes and she was born. 8 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. They handed her to me right away and didn’t even take her to clean her up for several hours, giving Nick and I the bonding time we wanted. I have to say the Clarksville hospital was wonderful and I couldn’t have had better nurses or doctors.
On to the pictures!
Eureka!
I just realized I never put up pics of our Eureka Springs trip. Shame on me. The trip was great!
